a friend once told me i tried to hurt them with something i wrote, but i think now that was a lie. I knew i wrote that for me, that it was a simple piece expressing my feelings. they said they felt i was trying to prove some point with what i said, no. I’d say the only point proven was how much they thought the world revolved around them. it says more about you to claim pain from words you read on a screen by your own volition. you hurt yourself over and over again, i almost let you hurt me. but i knew in situations like these, you are the only one in control of whether or not you feel pain from what you see. from what it makes you think or feel to wonder if you mean something more than you understand to someone, whether you can stop them, or make them feel as though they need to quit speaking entirely. If they just stop being around at all you’ll be all right. but i cant just cease to exist no matter how nice that may be for you. you almost never did the right thing even though i know you feel you tried. You were hurtful underneath the sugar coat. at least you always knew what you were getting from me. you wanted it be severed but made the connection yourself. sorry for the pain you feel, but its on you to get to a place where in the future little spats wont ruin your life, memories, and you can one day maybe actually explain how any true destruction ever fell upon you. we all know the examples you gave where hardly more than circumstantial and didnt prove anything but an argument we both always knew we were having. so it proved nothing. you said so much and i know you never really said a thing of substance. you wanted to look like a victim and no matter what i say you will always have preemptively set yourself in the position of one. & i cant do anything to do about it bc i cant change how you feel and if you feel crossed i cant tell you that you dont.
