Hmm. I can’t seem to get an answer anywhere for this…
I’ve been inside since covid started.
So tired.
Parents. Dad. Covid. Dad has Covid. Tested positive July 28. Tested positive again, August 4th. Still coughing. Sleeping in separate beds, parents.
But today, they invite someone inside the house? Isn’t this something that isn’t supposed to be done?
The thing my parents seem to be citing is that as long as you aren’t within 6 feet for more than 15 minutes, you aren’t “technically” exposed, forgive me, for the wording, seriously like 2 hours of sleep per night the last 2 nights and I am out of it as f***. I should feel way worse than I do right now, it will catch up with me over the days coming probably.
Anyway, I was thinking like, the right thing to do, is to just keep everything shut down until we produce negative covid tests and don’t have symptoms and it is that way for like 5 consistent days in a row.
It’s just confusing to me, because my parents are republicans.
I have no where to go and nobody to talk to about this.
They told me that I can still go to work, but I work with food delivery, and to be honest, even though I don’t feel sick myself, I do feel slightly different, than I normally would, since my Dad got COVID. I don’t feel right going out to work but my parents seem to treat me like I am crazy for thinking otherwise. It scares me.
So tired I can’t even formulate in my thinking right now… I know it makes no sense. F***.
My parents basically said, if you aren’t like coughing your brains out and/or running a fever, you have no restrictions at all. Literally none, zero. In fact, they are like encouraging me to go out. It’s weird. I think they are trying to use me, and use my actions, to justify their insane perspective on this.
I feel like, you have COVID, like legit, like you’re sick. Like not only you test positive once, like days go by and you test positive again. And they keep answering the door when people ring the doorbell. I feel like what the f***?
So, it’s ok, since, the people don’t spend more than 15 minutes within 6 feet?
Is that the way it is now? Like I don’t know because I have no friends and I am by myself and I never had to face any of this or anything related to it. I don’t have a job really, not like a real job. I basically paid zero attention to everything covid related.
But I assume everyone else knows people personally that have had COVID and had to do the ups and downs of when you can go out and all that. I haven’t, at all.
But is this the way it is now? As long as you don’t spend more than 15 minutes within 6 feet, you’re just free and clear all the way? It seems strange to me… but I can’t get a f****** answer that is straight on the subject.
Most websites give you information
1. IF you spent more than 15 minutes within 6 feet
or
2. IF you tested positive
But I haven’t spent more than 15 minutes and I haven’t tested positive, but, there is someone in my house who is currently covid positive. They pass by me in the kitchen sometimes but I don’t hang around them.
But to me, I feel like isn’t there still a small chance that I could passing along germs and getting people ‘regular sick’ in general? Or this doesn’t matter?
It just seems strange that I would have literally no restrictions so long as I don’t seem to be sick. Like, there is a person, in my house, who is sick with COVID, legit. Like, h******* a** cough, legit. My Mom thought she was going to need to call the ambulance the other night.
But the thing is, I “missed the memo” perhaps and maybe this is the way we are doing things now?
I just don’t know and I tried to contact a government agency and I haven’t gotten a response from them so I am just kind of confused…
Like I can’t find advice for
Someone who has someone else in their house positive for covid, but the person with covid like stays in their room, for the most part. It just freaks me out like it doesn’t matter anymore? Like I just can’t seem to get an answer from anyone because they probably think I am joking or like how the f*** could I not know? Like, as if this isn’t possible that you don’t know this, but it’s like I haven’t left my house since COVID started basically. Like I have no friends either. Like I don’t talk to anyone. I don’t have the scuttlebutt on what is going on anywhere at all on the planet. I just watch YouTube videos and s***. But I don’t personally interact with anyone. I don’t clock in at work or anything. Nothing. Zero. Like, I’ve practically made up my own mythos about how the world works I’ve been alone so long, which isn’t healthy, and I am trying to get back out there, and I was in the process of working on that, until my Dad got covid, and it’s just been confusing as f*** ever since.
My parents act like I am f****** crazy, for thinking like we should shut down the house until we’re all totally free and clear. If I do anything that is contrary to that, they make fun of me and laugh at me and talk down to me like I am f****** little and retarded or something, it is very disturbing to me…
I think they are trying to justify their own ‘fucked up’ way of doing things I dunno…
