I wouldn’t say it’s all struggle though. It’s the big cliche of ups and downs. I’ve seen my fair share of roller coaster up and down, but I gotta say, in my late 40’s I have not seen a down in many, many years. It’s all a plateau or stagnant for some time and then up.
I attribute that to changing the way I approach life and what I see as important in life, ditching the problem people in my life, which was without exageration about 95% of people I have ever met or been friends with at any time over almost 50 years. I stopped caring so much about anything after. Not that I don’t care, you should love and show love to the right people, I can always tell who deserves it, I just don’t have much faith in people. I had to completely change my mindset. I love the people I love, but I don’t ever put so much faith into them that I can’t see them walk away. I can live without anyone. I don’t fight anything, If they want to or need to, I let them go without a fuss and make myself scarce and I only put effort into what builds and benefits me in a very real way.
So choose wisely. Believe me, choose wisely. You should absolutely judge people before you let them in and get close too them. Never be care free when it comes to people. The wrong person can cause you the worst b******* than anything else in life. They will ruin your present life if you let them see it and say “they didn’t mean it” even if they absolutely did and do mean it. I have regrets, but I also learn from things. People are the worst so choose wisely. Other than that, yeah we’re all just moving towards death. Do what makes you feel good no matter what that is and that doesn’t mean you need to be get married, have kids, all that other cliche life s***. The same s*** your parents did and their parents did, and their parents did. Do what you feel is right and remember none of it matters. You will be dead one day and you will never even know it. That’s it. There is nothing after. Remember that.
