I think it was his green eyes that first drew me to him. He had these clear green eyes, the color of sea glass or a flawless stained church window, but brighter. Happier. Maybe it was his incredible skills at drums. It could have been his handsome half -smile he had when he said something sarcastic. But in any case, i fell hard for him. And I’ll always remember riding in his car, blasting his subwoofers while he drummed on the steering wheel. I’ll remember the knowing look we gave each other when we could tell someone was lying. When i think of him, I’ll think of hot chai tea and sad song lyrics and the warmth of his car and how the snow settled in his messy black hair.
But i know I’ll move on someday, and forget all those little details.
But there are two things i will NEVER forget…… Those beautiful green eyes and how i lost him to the girl that confessed she loved him before i got the chance.
