“I would never have s** with a married man”. Sounds familiar?
We worked together and we got along very well. We both liked to see the irony in everything and laughed at the same things. At work people thought we were having a relatinship outside the office (irony would follow). We went to the movies in 2 or 3 ocassions and once we went for a drink after work to celebrate my birtday (if not for that I wasn’t going to celebrate my b-day). I began to believe it was possible that there could be a pure and selfless friendship between a man and a woman. Moreover if one was “happily married”.
And yet, the day came when he told me he found me very attractive. It had been a long time since a man made me feel desirable. Add this to the mix and that’s how everything changed, one thing led to another and the “friendship” went to hell.
We had s** 4 times in the span of one year. The last time, we met at my place, big mistake! That’s when I felt awful. But it was not because he was a married man (that’s his business, not mine) , I felt terrible because I had just realized that I was giving s** in exchange for only being able to talk or laugh with someone for a little while. And with a man I don’t even like?! It was not worth it but I did learned 2 things:
1. I like to make love, not just have s**.
2. I prefer talking and laughing at myself, that having s** with an ugly married man.
