I can’t wait to get away from my older sister. I hate that it has come to this but I really just don’t want to be around her anymore. She’s such a greedy, selfish, lazy, hateful person. I’m not going to take care of her sorry self anymore. My husband and I are finally getting our own place.

I expect it will go like this.

When my mother finally gets enough and kicks her out, she’ll come crying to me. “I don’t have anywhere else to go, can I please stay with you just for a few days?”

If I were foolish enough to give in, it would turn into, “Just until I find a job/ Just until I’ve saved enough money to get my own place.” and that would never happen because any money she does make she blows on booze, cigarettes, and I’m certain drugs. I KNOW she’s into illegal activity. I would call her probation officer if I knew that my mother would forgive me for getting my sister sent to prison.

But anyway… when I tell her no, she cant’ stay with us, she’ll hate me. She’ll probably get on facebook and make some post about being betrayed, and tell anyone who will listen how her little sister left her to live on the streets. And when she does I’m going to tell the world and all her friends just what’s been going on for the last, oh, TEN years.

She makes a perpetual mess, messing up dishes, and pots and pans, leaving greasy, food-filled plates on her bedroom floor, on the couch, on the living room floor, until they are literally rotting, if no one else picks them up. She leaves glasses half full of drink sitting all over the house, until mold is floating on the liquid, if no one else moves them to the kitchen. In the 13 years we’ve lived in this house she’s washed the dishes maybe… twice? I kid you not. Twice. When she does decide to wash laundry she only washes her own, and never hangs them up or puts them away.

She has used my things, my game consoles, my computers, my dvds, etc. until they are ruined, because she doesn’t take care of anything. She breaks her own stuff and everyone else’s stuff. Does she offer to replace it or repair it? No! She wrecked my brother’s car driving drunk and its still sitting outside on flat tires, rusting over. That was over a year ago. She’ll never get it fixed even though it was her fault. She doesn’t care.

And when you tell her no, she can’t use your things, or try to get her to give them back, she gets ANGRY. She’s ANGRY because I’m taking MY gaming consoles when I move. What the heck? They’re mine, not yours! But of course she feels entitled to everything.

We have been buying the groceries for the household for the last 2 years. We wouldn’t mind sharing with her… but, she’s wasteful. And greedy. We would buy 3 boxes of hot pockets, and not get to eat any of them because she’d eat them all within one day/night. We would buy a frozen pizza, and she would eat half of it and leave the rest out all night to spoil before we would get a chance. Leftovers? Forget it. She’s the queen of cooking something, eating a little, then leaving the rest out to rot. We buy certain things for my husband’s work lunch, and even though we’ve asked her not to eat it, she does anyway. Then denies it, of course. And she gets pissed off if anyone else dares finish off anything in the kitchen.

Oh, that’s not the worst of it. She would come into my and my husband’s bedroom when we weren’t here and take things, and look through our stuff. Then deny it. Swore up and down she hadn’t done it. We got so fed up with our things going missing that we bought a lock so we could lock our bedroom door. Well, she still got in. She picked the lock somehow, and she got in. We knew she was doing it, but when we brought it up, OH she was so offended! How dare we? So we set up a webcam to catch her in the act. And sure enough, we caught her. And when we told her we had, and we had evidence, she sent me some lame apology note on facebook, claiming she hadn’t taken anything, that she just liked the plunder, and basically said it was my fault because I locked our door and she felt offended by that. Yeah. I’m serious.

After writing all this, I can’t believe we’ve put up with it for so long. No wonder she doesn’t have any friends. How foolish of us to let her get away with it… of course, anything we say to her has no effect. Well, I’m done with her. I Hope she’ll change her ways and not make my mother’s life miserable, but I can’t help it if she doesn’t.
