The beginning of our relationship was exciting. It was dangerous. You were an alcoholic even at your young age; I couldn’t even tell you were drunk when we met. I was bad like you didn’t know – wasn’t long before I taught you how to do big boy rails and all we did was coke for months. We were always stoned. You were active in your addiction and I was having fun with you. Then it got real. You went to rehab. I was your only visitor.

You haven’t had a drink in over a year. I protect you from everything that I can. No more skiing. No more drinking. We’re still stoned but weed’s just weed. You remember everything that you do, you work damn hard full time, you love me properly. I see a future with you. You will be my husband some day and I’ll be your loving wife. We’re going to make it.
