I know I’ve categorized this under “a guilt” but in all honesty, I’m not guilty. I’m happy to finally see most of the bigger picture, not only what I’m told. So here’s the story;

(I am 16 and mom is 56)

I wanted to buy an app off my moms iTunes account but wasn’t sure if she’d be notified of the payment via SMS so I waited till she went to bed, when I would be able to take her cell and delete any messages; none came. I saw a different message saying “goodnight, luv u stax X**” from her supposed ex. Curiosity won out and I opened the thread, scrolling to the top I found it went back over a month. I stood in the kitchen and read it all… At first I was almost proud because she was calling the man out on how he had treated her before, when they first ended things.

Then things went down hill. He always told her he loved her and she didn’t object. I’m not going to tell you everything and waste your time but soon I came to messages suggesting s***** activities and not at all discreetly.
“not going swimming today, had a good work out this morning 😉 ”
“the floor of your place will do” and
“the new carpet is soft, not likely to give carpet burns but still need to test it out” were among some of the more decent messages.

Now I get that feeling slightly betrayed isn’t really my place but the fact of the matter is that she lied to my face about why she was going to his place, but looking back I should have seen it. I feel betrayed because I trusted what she told me but for me the worst was when I was messages implying that I’m in the way.

I applied to work at a nearby Spur but they were stuffing me around as to when I needed to work. I saw messages saying “now Spur is messing with my s** life” and “she’s working on Mon..!” This is what really hurt, I mean, I’m not asking to know every detail of your life but just tell me if your with someone!

I know it wasn’t my place to go through those messages to begin with but as i said before, I don’t regret it.
