I am a girl who pretended to be a guy online for 5 years. I fell in love with a girl, who while we were together in our online straight relationship expressed many times her interest in girls. She decided to come to meet me face to face, without my approval, & I met her & confessed that I was in fact a female. I was 30, she was 24.
She decided to stay with me. We were together for nearly a year when she decided she needed to be with a guy to see if that was what she wanted. We broke up for about a month & then she came back & I accepted her due to the guilt I had felt from what I had done.
A few months later she was saying she needed to be in a relationship with a guy to be sure, & she felt like we needed to break up to be together. The whole first year we were together she was insistant that I was what she wanted, forever. She was in love with me & she was attracted to me & that’s all that mattered. However, she lives in a very very conservative place so I think she feels pressure from society.
We broke up again a year ago. She thinks there’s no way that we can work becuase of how things started. I disagree. I think she is a chameleon when it comes to love, adapting what she “wants” to fit who she is with. She did this with me, she’s now doing this with the guy she is with (who she cheated on me with a year ago). Also, she cheated on him more than once with me.
