They are asking a huge amount for a tiny studio and I texted them saying it was greedy and that they should be ashamed of themselves, then blocked the number. I mean, I feel that way about the numbers themselves on paper. and I forgot there’s a human behind the listing.

Anyways, I searched for the landlord more online and found out she’s living with her half-braindead husband who needs on the clock medical care. she explained that in some ads looking for a personal cook (…also with super low wages).

then it occurred to me they might be broke from medical bills… but my next thought was ehm, they live in a part of this city where houses are valued in the millions, they’re well into their 70s-80s so probably bought the house a long time ago for WAY less and probably could afford to move if it was that desperate. That, or they’ve accepted the end times and don’t give a s*** anymore.

as evident above, I’m here flipflopping between scenarios that don’t exist trying to decide if my lashing out was justified but uhhhhh pretty sure it wasn’t, and I’m projecting my problems onto these imaginary situations because I don’t feel like confronting my issues today lol. Anyways, back to apartment hunting even thought I don’t need an apartment until November!
