I received a speeding ticket, the first one in my life. Fine, court costs and points against my drivers license. A couple of days later I was thinking about the experience and suddenly had the thought “what if there was an alternative punishment”? What if you had the choice of the costs and points OR receiving corporal punishment, say a strapping of paddling, and not having to pay anything nor have any points against your license? If such a choice existed which would you choose?
