I have this one friend that Id love to punch in the face or at least drop a couple of truth bombs on. Shes always complaining that she never goes anywhere, never does anything, never buys anything, never eats out, and never eats any good food. Yet at least twice a week shes posting pictures of her fast food, chinese take out, junk food binge, new article of clothing shes bought, new piece of jewelry shes bought, or sharing a photo of an outing with her boyfriend. Yeah the outings with her boyfriend are usually just to the steakhouse for lunch after her doctors appointments, a walk on the beach, a visit to the mall, or something like that, but shes getting out. In the past couple of days alone shes posted pictures of her eating lunch at some fast food place, having a fancy coffee drink somewhere, eating cookies at home, bragging about her nice clean carpet, bragging on her new door bell, showing off a new outfit, and bragging about her boyfriend cooking for her. In the past week shes also whined about a water leak, moaned about her spare bedroom being cold, moaned that her food stamps were cut and she couldnt afford to eat, moaned that her stomach was so upset she couldnt eat at all (all while posting updates about fast food and chinese take out between the posts about starving and not being able to eat). She also constantly complains about her family, who by the way she never sees and its by choice. Her Grandma apparently beat her Mom while she was pregnant and she (my friend) was born with health problems because of it. My friend complains that her family never wants to see her when she also doesnt want to see them. My friend wants to play the victim and it drives me crazy. Oh and when her boyfriend had cancer it was still poor her. He couldnt work anymore and that meant he couldnt afford to buy her christmas gifts or take her out to eat. His cancer was an inconvenience to her.. please.. and yes I know I could simply stop being her friend. However, when shes not being petty or busy being the victim I like her and enjoy her friendship, I just wish she would stop with the I never get to do anything crap and start being thankful because she actually has a pretty good life. She lives in a nice apartment and does very little for herself. Her life isnt perfect but she has it a lot better than she thinks she does.
