I recently got married. My wife has a disability that limits her ability to work and I am going to school full time. My in laws let us live with them free, as we cannot afford rent. Trouble is, they also let my sister in law and her 2 yr old daughter live there. My SIL chain smokes in the house, multiple packs a day, and if you try to ask her to take it outside she cusses you out. All she does all day is smoke multiple packs a day in the house and abuse her daughter. My in laws won’t kick her out for fear of what would happen to the baby. My wife and I reek of smoke. Our skin, hair, clothes, everything reeks because of SIL. Due to the nature of my wife’s disability, the smoke is especially threatening to her health. We are trying to get out asap but it will take time. SIL does NOT care. I am so tired of smelling so bad, people comment on how bad the smoke smell is in spite of all my efforts to get it off me. I am sick of listening to my SIL verbally abuse her kid and take advantage of my in laws, it makes me sick.
