I was just in San Diego, CA, and a random 5’3″ 140lb Hispanic woman wearing a black Marc Jacobs crossbody bag, black Birkenstocks, black skinny jeans, a gray cropped sweater cardigan, and a blue blouse came up to me, spewed racist words at me unprovoked, and then she placed both hands on me, shoved me and tried to punch me for no reason while telling me to “Go home.” Her Hispanic boyfriend with a shaved head, topknot, black t-shirt, black pants, and tattoos everywhere just looked on and laughed while telling her to punch me harder for being a different ethnicity than her. I was born and raised in California. What makes me even more sad is that I work specifically to serve and advocate for low income people of Hispanic descent in all of orange county. She spat on me after she pushed me hard with both hands and then she proceeded to walk into the San Diego Natural History Museum with her boyfriend laughing at me for being a different ethnicity than her. Is this what the world is coming to? People running about recklessly spewing hatred and committing assault and misdemeanors at random against innocent strangers?
