(this will be a text wall so bear with me)
I LOVE GamTav, but what I HATE are rabid GamTav shippers that act like you stabbed baby Jesus to death with a d**** just for liking Vriska/shipping Tavris/admitting that GamTav isn’t the best thing since sliced bread. TBH I also lowkey dislike GamTav shippers that make Tavros some kawaii desu moe or Gamzee some generic insane yandere. I’ll admit that I do that quite often, and I won’t judge you for doing that, after all they are just fictional aliens with candy corn horns, but it does get a little annoying seeing this fanart after fanart after fanfic.
Also, on the topic of rabid GamTav shippers, one of my biggest pet peeves about this fandom is all the unneeded hate Vriska gets. Look, I DESPISE Tavris with the passion of a thousand suns, I really do. I even get lowkey nauseous seeing Homesmut of it. Even then, I understand that it is a FICTIONAL ship, and that people can ship what they want to ship. I see so many people who hate Vriska because of GamTav. Once again, I won’t judge you, as Vriska isn’t real, but once again, it is fictional, and EVEN I UNDERSTAND GAMTAV ISN’T CANON. This stupid drama reminds me of the early 2010’s Hetalia fandom when people would hate Belgium/Seychelles/any other female character for getting in the way of their HAWT YOAI SHIP, usually UsUk/FrUK/Spamano.
On a side note, GamTav kinda sounds like a brand of knockoff cigarettes xD
