Our neighbors want us to spend Christmas with them this year and although my girlfriend is ok with it, I would rather be with family. These neighbors do so much for us that I hate to say no, but I think I may decline the invitation. Is that wrong? The neighbor guy helps me with car repairs, shoveling snow, computer issues, and is just a really good person. His wife is my girlfriend’s best friend. Problem is, my mom and dad are not in the best of health – this could be the last holiday I have with them.

I know it should be a no-brainer, but I’m still dreading giving our regrets.
