I have a condition that means I don’t have as much female hormones as I should, so my body produces too much testosterone as a result. One of the side effects is that I have a really high s** drive for a woman. It never caused that much of a problem until now, as all my partners had the same drive as me.
Now, though, I have met the most amazing guy. I love him so much and I can see myself spending the rest of my life with him. He takes care of me, he’s kind and loving, makes me laugh and we have a brilliant relationship – except when we go to bed. In six months, we have only had s** a handful of times. When I said my drive is high, I mean high-I can happily go a couple times a day. Every time he comes over, there seems to be some excuse as to why he can’t do it-he’s tired from work, he’s hurt his arm, he has a headache. I wouldn’t mind the no-s** thing if we did other stuff, but there’s hardly no s***** contact. When we do have s** it’s mind-blowing and passionate and everything I want; and my hopes are raised that maybe, just maybe, things might get better. I don’t want to lose him, I have never loved anyone as much as him, but at the same time I feel like he doesn’t really want me, I feel rejected, I feel angry and it’s causing fights. I’m trying to lower my libido, I’m taking natural remedies and pills but it’s not doing any good. I’m afraid it’ll end our relationship. I’m also afraid of that tiny voice in my head that’s finding a friend of mine more and more physically attractive. I crush it down, but it just pipes up again after a few days. I know, I’m a horrible person. I mean, if I really loved him enough I wouldn’t be thinking this way. I just want to feel physically close to my boyfriend. It’s not too much to ask, is it?
