I almost cheated on my wife. the deal was sealed, she was going to stay overnight at my business trip hotel. I spent the day with her-holding hands, briefly kissing, etc.

In retrospect she was a wife-surrogate.

It was exciting to actually set it up. I’ve never been particularly popular with girls so it was cool to feel desirable. It was also cool to take the shot. I’m also a fat dude, not freak-show fat, but usually the fattest dude in the room.

Of course, like every interaction with women, I had been drinking.

I backed out and shut it down. Hopefully in a way that left the chick feeling OK about it. She hasn’t dated in about 8 yrs due to messed-up experiences with rich guys.

Digging my wife now, more than ever. I realize how so fantastically great she is.

Was the almost-cheating experience a bad thing?
