I’m a first responder in Florida. During a recent storm we has bad flooding. My team received a call that a woman was trapped in her car. When we made it to the scene we attempted to rescue the woman. She was waist deep in water in her car. My partner opened the door to the vehicle and secured the rescue rope. However she refused to leave the vehicle. She wanted us to save her and her car. That wasn’t going to happen. She was adamant that she wasn’t going to exit the car unless we could get her car out with her as well. She argued with us and eventually told us to go away. When the flood waters reached her chin she agreed to leave. The time spent arguing with her could’ve been spent helping people. I just don’t get some people.
