my dad got mad i called my mom and asked if i should call the police. he’s molested me and both of my sisters and pulled a machete on my older sister. the day i wanted to call 911, he was starting up the same argument with me that led to him threatening her life. TODAY he throws it in my face as some sort of evidence of betrayal. I looked him in the face and said, ‘you have a violent history.’
he was dumbfounded like no one ever gave him that reasoning before. Like sir, i’m not gonna be like your wife and pretend i’m stupid/condition myself to demonstrate stupidity. And me and my sisters are not the black woman of yesteryear.. who pretend raggedy men are anything but raggedy.
