When I was 12 years old my little sister drowned at the pool. I had dragged her out of the water but she was unconscious and I was screaming and crying for help. Suddenly this adult man shoved me away from her body and put his mouth on hers. He was giving her mouth to mouth resuscitation, but I didn’t know that. To me, it looked like he was kissing my poor unconscious little sister and I wanted to murder him. There were two women holding me back from running to him and they covered my mouth with their hands to stop me from screaming at him to stop hurting my sister. It was all very traumatic. Eventually, my sister woke up and coughed up a bunch of water and we took her to the hospital. I slept next to her on the hospital bed.
I often have nightmares about the whole incident, and about how I felt when I thought that man was s******* assaulting my sister. It was the worst thing ever.
