I’ve always had very regular periods, and I was also blessed with short periods. Normally the first two days of my flow are the heaviest, and it’s usually gone by the third day. It has always come almost exactly every four weeks down to the exact day- I’ve always been able to predict my body, when it was coming.

But I just had a really weird experience. My body has been going through some stuff, don’t really know how to explain. I’m not sick- I actually feel fine.

But my last period never came. I’m too young for menopause, and again, I’ve always been very regular.

But my last period never came at all.

I was two weeks late. I assumed I might just be skipping a period.

But- one night, (after the two weeks had already gone by with no cycle) I had been fine all day; but as I was taking a shower- in fact, I was about to get out- when I noticed a ton of bright red blood pouring into the drain.

At first I thought I had somehow injured myself, before I realized it was coming out of me.

It wasn’t the typical period color. It was really really bright red, like when you cut yourself.

It scared me, because my flow has never looked like that, nor has it been so… liquidy. It was like water. There was no substance to it. It was just pure blood.
And it was a lot.

I didn’t panic, I cleaned it up and got ready for bed, and I bled overnight, but the weird thing is, the next day it was gone. I only used two pads total and the second one had only a few tiny drops of blood in it.

And other than that, I felt totally fine- no PMS symptoms or anything like that. Although, I did notice some nausea.

But then a night or two later I developed a low-grade fever out of nowhere and my whole body ached. I was mildly sick for one night then I was totally fine again.

Is this normal?
