In an ode to 4th graders all throughout the English-speaking world, “Queerbaiting” is now a word! For nothing was more piercing on the playfield than to call some kid “queer bait” (while of course “f**” and “Lez” completed the trifecta of insults there). …………………………………………………………………………………………………………………. IF ONLY we had known back then what to be true “queer bait” really was……………………………………………………………………………………………………………. (we’d have covered our asses – literally, not figuratively – and run home screaming)
