I was the carer of a person with a bad autoimmune disease. The person I cared for was my spouse. We had a child together. The person I cared for also had severe neurological problems, but they were only diagnosed in their final few years. Those neurological problems could make this person incredibly difficult to live with, they could be emotionally abusive, their memory was just shifting sand. After their death, I raised our broken hearted child alone. It wasn’t really their fault, but my life since I met this person has been filled with misery, and pain, and I wish I’d never laid eyes on them.
