you shouldn’t feel bad about not getting cat-called. i know it’s natural to think that those people cat-called and flirted with women they think are attractive, yes, but at the same time they also see the women as prey. it’s not a good feeling i can guarantee it. i’ve known many, many not-so-attractive girls getting the guys they like. these guys chose them over the prettier girls. many went on to marry and have kids. these not-so-attractive girls are very confident with themselves. not in how they look, but in their intellectual prowess. the way they speak to people, the way they communicate themselves, and the way they prove what they CAN do beyond just looking pretty. but personally, getting a guy is useless. the guy can only like you so much in the beginning. it’s hard to find someone who will put you on an altar for the rest of your lives. that is the kind of thing that you only hear about happening to other people. i know that we think “why can’t it be me” why indeed. why the f*** can’t i win the 50 million lottery? i’d prefer that.
