Permadeath is the worst feature to have ever been added to video games. I boot up a game to forget for a little bit about the bad stuff that happens in real life, like, you know, people dying, and what do I see? The character I so lovingly made that dies, and stays dead. Wow, just like in real life! Good job, game companies that do this, you’ve built yourselves a nice little fanbase of masochists that actually enjoy pain and suffering! Good for you, but I ain’t like that. Actually well made video games don’t need that kind of cheap mechanic to get people hooked, anyway.
