I have PCOS and I have a terrible f****** time with facial hair. I grow dark, coarse hair on my chin and I pluck every single bloody day just to keep it at bay. My boyfriend found out by accident some 5 months or so ago. I didn’t take it well. He took it in stride. The cat’s outta the bag now but I still fuss all the time to maintain the mess.

Last week I had to see him in an emergency without tending to my face first and I apologized. I allowed him to brush my chin stubble with his finger because he was curious.. He told me that he didn’t care and gave me a big hug.

He’s so gentle with me. So accepting. He understands that I’m just a human trying to get by.. I’m not perfect but I love him with all my heart. I love us. I feel safe.
