Both my kids are grown and they both got a hold of me for Mother’s Day, my son even did a surprise pop-in with a gift. My daughter lives too far away for that. But I’m still a little salty at my husband because my big Mother’s Day event was walking down our long-a** rural road and picking up trash from winter. (Volunteering). I didn’t mind that so much, but he made NO attempt to take me out to eat or cook for me or anything. Plus, I thought he would at least do the dishes or something to help me out. But no. Mother’s Day! That wonderful day of the year when Moms get to put their chores off until tomorrow! And then resent their husbands for the rest of the year. If he thinks I’m doing JACK S*** for Father’s Day he’s dead a** wrong. He’ll get a nice card. That’s all he did for me, a nice card.
