Mara’s mother (Joyce) had me promise to be live in cargiver to my mother for two weeks, with her there also 24/7, as a condition of ever seeing Mara again. When I walked in packed for the stay, sincerely ready to try to change my s***** behavior, Joyce took the packed bag and set it aside, and demanded the cashier’s check for two weeks’ pay for the other caregivers. While it was mentally and emotionally difficult, my behavior with Mara (and several caregivers in the years before Mara and her mother started) was pathetic and I had definitely developed real feelings for Mara despite the delusional “detachment” of money for hand jobs or getting to please her in ways not requiring penetration. Joyce marched me to my mother’s room and had me apologize again and say out loud why I was there. My mother simply got teary eyed again and repeated how she could not believe I had done such things. Joyce said that she was going to at least shut those habits down and try to force me to stop disrespecting myself and women like that ever again, and assured me and my mother that it was going to be worse before it got better. She repeated her very real threat that if I ever wanted to see her daughter again, then I would do as told without hesitation.v
