The real sadness about Tom Petty is that he was given pain patches by his doctor because he in pain from a bad hip and was going to have hip replacement surgery. Before bed he took two vicodin tablets even though he was given VERY STRICT warning from his doctor not to take any other pain meds with the patch. He went to bed and woke up suddenly and felt sick to his stomach and went into the master bathroom and collapsed and died. Cardiac Arrest. Let it be a warning to others.
