A few nights ago, by accident, I happened to call a friend who told me of the John Madden Special to be shown on Christmas Day.

I could not believe how good the show was, and I just loved the idea that some reporter long ago pointed out that John Madden’s look resembled that of “an un-made bed”… and it was made even better when John Madden himself sort of embraced that characterization.

But gosh, the show was so great, but I cannot fathom the timing of John Madden having left us this morning, just 3 days after the show aired.
