Well you can take your chances with covid. It’s one of those things it could really kick your a**, might even kill you, but you might survive too but it might kill you.

I know a dude who is anti fax, he is anti everything drinking, smoking, smoking weed, he’s anti everything including vaccine. He’s a real nut job about certain things in life, very American way of thinking. He has to be close to 50. You could say I work with the guy. Not really but we need to see each other and communicate for work, so I see him once or twice a week and I bug him about his tin foil hat conspiracy way of thinking. He’s working in a high risk place to contract it. So do I. Did our get vaxed yet? Which sets him off. He at least knows the virus is real, but he is anti vax. Sometimes I tease him, but sometimes even unprovoked he’s losing his mind over something and the s*** he says floors me into speechless. Is CRAZY. Crazy, I don’t even know what to say.

So anyway, 2 months ago, around 2 months, it was probably 7 weeks ago this past Friday I went in there, wore my mask as usual, but we were in close contact. Standing 1 ft away, we did communicate, we spoke, we obviously looked at each other while we spoke, with masks on well withing 6 feet of each other, 1 foot. This was a Friday.

I go in there the following Monday, he’s not there. Not unusual, he seems to have a week vacation every 3 weeks. Talking to the guy covering, where is he at? Off again? The guys says “uh, no he’s sick…” Right away I said to him “No way… don’t tell me…” He goes “What?” I repeated it “he’s “sick”? He goes yeah, he caught the covid. Outbreak there actually all unvaccinated. One of them, an older guy 50’s or 60’s maybe even close to 70 died in that outbreak. I felt no symptoms despite close contact with a case. Fully vaxed, wearing a mask.

I went there today, technically he was clear to come back to work probably a month ago, but I guess he’s milking it. He hasn’t returned. He won’t come back until 100% I know he felt it, he knows the virus is real, that guy talked to him in the thick of it, I asked, he said he sounded like s***. Whether or not he changed the stance on vax is another thing.
