I’m not sure if you read the entire post, maybe you didn’t understand it but I actually said it was more than looks and I named off quite a few other things that it is but at the same time, some looks don’t fade either. Some people age well. Almost in the reverse, they get better, and believe me I know it’s more than about just looks.
It’s definitely more than looks, and it’s not a good me off thing. Whether you are “ugly” definitely has to do with a combination, looks, personality, interests, intelligence, the way you carry yourself, your beliefs and values all of which you don’t even need to state them outright, people see it and they know even if it’s over a long period of time, it all eventually comes out.
People know if you are a no b*******, shoot it to them straight, you are not a liar that kind of thing. They know if you are a conniving b**** who has an interiority complex, gets jealous and cheats and lashes out people they perceive as a threat. Or if you work hard to get everything you have without cheating. You can look at anyone, say you look at a woman, and she is straight up ugly. She is a wart off someone’s a**. Say she dyes her hair purple, and every once in a while she will say little things which seem insignificant, but are a good indicator of her mindset. A joke to someone who booked her on the head with a Rolex up piece of paper that she should “punch her self in the face and then claim this person beat the s*** out of her as a joke” maybe a laugh at a racist joke at the expense of white people and you can see she is manipulative, underhanded, possibly with some mental problems. Unless you are out of your mind, the best bet is to see that for what it is. Dangerous. Not very attractive. Ugly even.
Someone who carries themselves in a way that is not like that, it’s more positive, they have good character, a taste for good things, they make good choices, and they happen to be good looking, people remember a person like that in good light.
That’s a good thing and a negative because other people out there are going to be like the person in the second example. Ugly inside and out, and looks are important BUT looks are not all a out genetics either. We CAN make the best of what we have and end up being relatively attractive with a bit of trying.
Are you fat? Fat is not attractive. It really is not. So you can eat less, in moderation, better, excersise, work out and look in shape. Fit.
You can Maybe not dye your hair in any one of 4 colours of the rainbow. Be a mature adult. That’s attractive.
You could be more honest. No cheating in any way, whether it be with another person, or at a game. It’s not a very admirable trait. Just be honest.
You could be strong enough to pick yourself up after being knocked down and improve ON YOUR own while being hit. That’s admirable.
Quit drinking, smoking, whatever.
All that s*** INCLUDING looks, looks are absolutely important, I know I sure as f*** am not getting with what I consider ugly looking no matter how f****** nice they are the same as I’m not getting with anyone I think his ugly or stupid on the inside. Or a combination of ugly on the outside and inside. Over a lifetime it all comes through. It’s visible. The people who love you see it, they know it, and so do the people who hate you for it.
You just need some good taste and good choices. That’s what it’s about. My entire life, more when I was younger and chose to be around more people, people did want to be like me. It could have been something like I grew my hair long. Go back to visit my old buddies, one of them says “Hey man…. My mom said I could grow long hair like you…” I get a plaid jacket (in the 80’s, not even in the grunge era) as a Christmas present from my Great Aunt and Uncle, his style, I say “…. Yeah…. Why not? It’s comfy” wear it, and guess what? Everyone has a plaid jacket. I pick up a skateboard, well I guess that will start a lifetime obsession for a few guys. Drums? Same thing. Same guy. A good buddy from my childhood. I look back on it, and yeah. It does continue to this day too. It’s about having good taste as a person. For yourself whether it be the way you live your life, your values, or your fashion sense looks or clothes. I have the power to fire people up and make them go “I want to be/do/have that”. I’m not even trying.
