I put myself under too much pressure to be “perfect,” even despite knowing that, objectively speaking, there is no such thing as, “perfection.”
In childhood was are taught that getting straight A’s is all we’re meant to do. In adulthood, this transforms into meaning, “only what services and goods you produce, and the quality you produce them at are what define your value.”
This is b*******. You are your ability to love and be kind to others. You are your ability to live peacefully. You are your ability to care for yourself and love yourself.
If that means you spend all day watching YouTube and eating, that’s ok. If that means you spend all day working out, that’s ok. If that means you volunteer, all the power too you.
There is no perfect way to live, and we are all on different paths with different motivations and goals. So don’t try to ruin someone else’s life by putting on them what you put on yourself. Don’t try to dictate your morals and expectations to others. You just look like an a****** doing it.
