To: I never thought this would ever cross my mind, but here we are.
Me: My first computer was a Commodore 64 portable and I used to collect pirated games from a pirate group which my kids used to play and go every week to get any new stuff and share what I already had.
Now I have 7 – x64bit Microsoft PC’s and 2 Desktop towers, about 20 years old, the rest are laptops, 2 connected to 65 inch Hi Res TV’s so we watch TV programs I download off the internet from my 2 towers, on my 2 x laptop PC’s running 2TB interchangeable portable hard drives in Win7 Ultimate – which can be found (free) easily on the internet.
I have 2 Apple PC’s 1 large desktop screen and 1 laptop which my companion uses, she being an Apple freak and me being a Windows one.
Win10 changed the format and then started selling app programs, only available through their shop (x86 and x64 installed programs did not work) and the freebies were s***, Win10 stopped me from going where I wanted and took more control over my surfing habits and reported where I went and what I did to Microsoft, which was never going to happen for me – so I discovered a way of removing Win10 and putting on Win7 Ultimate SATA instead, a stripped down, light version, which works just the same as the full Win7, but takes a lot less time to load and uses a fraction of the space taken by the original Win7 Ultimate, (so I can use x86 and x64 programs)and I lock down my “C” drive with “Deep Freeze”, after I have removed all links to Microsoft, behind my back and I do whatever I do, via Duckduckgo, which does not trace anything, downloads to my formatted “D” drive and everything is right with my world.
Progress has its advantages, but speeds don’t matter, because everything is processed quicker than I can think, with Win 7 and I can increase my computing power by increasing my RAM size (yet to do) RAM here, not done it yet.

I have been unable to keep up with computer progress but I know my limits and I have reached that some years ago and I don’t try to keep up with computer technology or the latest PC and software for it – there really is no point and I can spend the money saved on other things, without spending anything extra on PC’s, so win/win.
