My brother is a terrible person. In the recent events of COVID-19, my brother who works as a nurse decided to take off work for a week, contemplating on lying that he has the virus, knowing that the Government is willing to pay him during his “sick leave”. Just knowing that he is actively trying to gain personal benefit during a time when any people are suffering from mental/physical health and financial instability makes me sick. I’ve always disliked him from the amount of physical and mental abuse received from him during my childhood, seeing all my siblings received the same treatment, and my parents who also beginning to receive this treatment in their older years. As an adult I no longer deny that I hate him; the person he chooses to be, the way he values material wealth over anything else (including his family), and his shading methods to support his toxic ways. I sincerely wish I never knew or had to call him “my big brother”.
