To people of color: im working on being an accomplice. Im far from it, of course, but from now on im gonna be more anonymous in what i do. However i dont want you to feel like no one jas your back and its just you versus white people. You might disagree and thats fine, but for the ones that feel hopeless: i got you.

  • believing you are the white savior is just as bad as being white power, furthering division will not solve problems

    • Sorry but what is up with people of colour who even find some bad angle on people who clearly want equality. He’s saying he’d help and that not all white people are racist. But yet there is still some sort of profound racist angle. To people of color: get over it or do some real fixing uprising god it’s getting boring.

    • I don’t have a white savior complex. I learned about white accomplices and how the closest we can get to ending racism is fixing and addressing it in our own communities and in ourselves. Maybe its not how to approach the situation, im still figuring it out. The reason i wrote it here is to give people of color a sliver of hope because a lot of them have lost it, and if this really is the best i can do there wouldnt be a way for them to know its being fixed because theyre not there. To the reply to this: im a woman and i dont need defending. Im learning about how to handle this but me being white ensures theres not gonna be a perfect way because ill always have white privilege. The best i can do is listen to people of color but also leave them alone. Maybe anonymously confessing it is still asking for praise, in a way.
