Kats are not mean. They are by nature, but unless your cat is free to roam around outside, it can’t be mean and cruel. They’re predators.

But ya know… just this morning getting up, my cat coming down the hallway looking at me sitting in the lazy boy chair with love in her eyes… It took me 5 years just to get this cat to let me touch her. Hissing spitting biting. Now she’ll come up, head b*** me, wipe her eye snot over my face, lay in my lap, use me for body heat, for a few minutes, then when I need to get up, I’ll pick her up the way they hold show cats, both hands underneath, one hand stretching the hind legs out and back, the other hand stretching the front legs forward (it’s crazy but you can hold all cats like this) then I’ll kiss her on the head for about 10 seconds holding her like that, sometimes she stretches in that position, it’s like I’m helping her, then I set her down on the floor, put my open hand palm down in front of her, she’ll walk right under my hand rubbing her head and back across it. No hostility at all that I removed her. Cats are awesome.

If you don’t like cats or you feel like you do “they’re mean” the cat will act towards you how you feel about the cat.
