That’s a terrible song by any stretch of the imagination and Merideth Brooks is simply ugly. She was ugly, I imagine all these years later she’s still ugly. You shouldn’t even joke about it. It should be forgotten. Terrible song. BUT sorry for your misfortune, not to be a captain obvious, but you probably would have been happier if you hadn’t gotten married and stayed single. Free. I’ll never understand how anyone gets married without knowing exactly like hat they are getting themselves into. By that I mean 10 years. Be g******* sure what the f*** you’re getting into.
Anyways, on another topic, I’m looking at the just announced Gibson Custom Shop 59 Les Paul replica of the guitar Peter Green, Garry Moore (neither of which I’m a fan of, I don’t even know their work that I am aware of) and currently owned by Kirk Hammett. No doubt a nice guitar. Amazing. 59 Gibson Les Paul ( although I don’t get the hype. The only place you will be able to buy one is directly from Gibson, and I mean go down to Nashville, go to the “Gibson Garage” fork out $50,000 and get 1 of 50 being made.
In my opinion, ridiculous. If I’m being completely honest, I don’t believe there is anything a Gibson Custom Shop guitar has, that is any better than what a Gibson USA has. Seriously. Besides esthetics. A limited paint job, possibly nicer looking (not better) wood. Wood is wood, especially of the same species. Different pickups what ch again are now t necessarily better, they are not even different in $, just different sonically.
I have a late 2000’s Les Paul Studio. I bought it for around $1500 brand new with a case in 08. I think it was $1475 out the door, that’s with taxes included. At this point I’ve messed with it many a time, completely dismantled it and put it back together more than once, it is set up as good as it possible can be and it’s amazing sounding and playing. Outstanding. My favorite guitar. Unlike any other I have owned or played.
I go into the local music store here, and I look at their Les Pas, they have a few Custom Shop 59, 58 Les Paul guitars $5000 -$6000 and I’m looking at them and maybe it’s just the fact that I have had my Studio for as long as I have, I know it’s looks like the back of my hand, so when I look at these guitars, sure the maple top has some nice flame and figuring, but they don’t really impress me. I’m unimpressed. I don’t think “wow, I wish
