In India
Son lives with their parents even after marriage so that means the daughter-in-law has do do everything from household to taking care of the kids. And it becomes really hard for the women to think about their career if they have kids and his parents are old.
My view- I don’t think that i am harsh but being a daughter-in-law why should i wash his parents clothes or oil his mother and massage her or bath her.Like why should i if she could do it.She can still cook and do stuffs cause she likes it.His dad does this things for her right now but his dad says i’ll have to do it soon when we’ll get married and be together. But i’ll be living with his parents but my man won’t be here cause he lives abroad and works there.Shall be visiting once a year.Don’t tell me i should leave him,i love him deeply and he does the same.He is not telling me to do all this things. But seems like his dad wants me to and he wants to get off of his duty bathing and oiling his wife. So, after marriage
Early morning, wake up make tea, then prepare lunch, again tea, clean, bath,go to work or do stuffs if am just a useless housewife, oil his mother, give her bath, wash her cloth manually, take bath myself, make snacks or tea in the evening, make roti for dinner. So thats it,thats how my life is going to be ?? Am so dissapointed.Indians should change their mindset.Daugter-in-laws are neither nurse or a maid 🙄 why do they like depending on them?? They already have so much going on,is it that hard to take bath?? I feel like her mother likes it better when her husband is doing it for her,she finds it care and love and attention,if i do it,its like a chore for ne cause am not interested to do it though i’ll have to do it cause i can’t deny cause i want to be a good wife 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄 but how long can i carry that.Thats how and why the Indians say that women’s revolves in the kitchen itself.Thats not how it should be right??
