Long story short, this guy who considers us friends started out as a job interview and ended up friends because I couldn’t get the job and already resigned. He got upset because I couldn’t get hired on to which he tried to get me but my clearance wasn’t activated.. we’ve been talking now for over a year as friends. He’s a Christian as well which there is nothing wrong with that.. During the summer a month flew by and I hadn’t emailed him so he emailed me asking how things are and such which I replied. Two months pass and I finally got the courage to email him stating that I liked him, but know there’s nothing because he’s probably married and such. He replied he is married and still considering us friends and to talk. Recently he had emailed me after two weeks asking how Christmas was and all..

We casually email from time once a month or twice a month.. My question is needing advice.. Does he like me because he continues to email me? Why does he email me when he doesn’t have to? Is he just being nice?? He doesn’t talk of his personal like much yet confessed he has PTSD from when he served.. I’m afraid to ask him these questions because I don’t want to ruin our email talks we have which are just “hi and hope life is good to you” type of emails.. Is this just him being nice to me after I confessed I liked him although he still wants to remain friends??
