ok not really a confession but omg my parents are so conservative i cant. im 20 and ive wanted a tattoo for two years mow but i didnt because i couldnt think of a good meaningful design. i got a cat last year and i love her very very much so now i want to get a minimalistic line art tattoo of her. i told my parents because i want to get it on my wrist and they were unsupportive and angry but they said i can do whatever i want because they cant stop me anyway since its my body. but i told my grandmother too and she said no very adamantly and refuses to change her mind. and then my parents hopped in and agreed with her so now all three are forbidding me to get a tattoo. and i love and respect my grandma very much but her reasoning is that getting a tattoo means that im going to be a gangster and that no boy will ever marry me with a tattoo. and like none of my relatives or anyone they know has a tattoo so thats why they’re so blind to the fact that its just a tattoo, but still… its just a cute little cat tattoo so that i’ll have my cat with me wherever i go. how do i convince them???
