I’m a 20 year old guy, and this is something that happened 2 days ago. I’m going to be a little elaborate.(First time confessing btw)
I have a really close friend , lets call her S, and we’ve known each other for the better part of 2 years.She recently broke up with her boyfriend. I recently broke up with my girlfriend. So yeah, we’re both single. The weekend had just begun and S really wanted to host lunch at her place for her closest pals.So we meet up at her place and have lunch ,and then all of us decide to go for a trek in the hills some 2 hours away from city.The trek was pleasant and she’s really close to me , so we kinda have contact all the time and I obviously held her hand to help her up the occasional rock.It was then that she mentioned that I had really soft hands. I was in a relationship in school a long time ago, and ONLY ONE other person had said that before.The trek down involved a lot more contact, and she held me close to her to pose for a few pictures, and I really felt a lot closer to her than I already was. We drove back together, and we just spoke as usual. We got back to her place at around 8 pm and we decided to stay over at her place(her mom is a really nice person btw). We dine, and play some cards and watch some TV together along with the rest of the group, and we’re always sitting really close to each other. We decide to hit the sack, and everyone sleeps except S and another guy( also a really close pal) and me. At this point, it was about 2 am and we just kept talking. It was kinda getting cold, and she got a blanket.I was initially reluctant to share it with her because her parents were right across in the opposite room, and I was worried her mom would say something. Later it just got too cold and I decide to share the blanket with her anyway. We’re setting real close, and there’s the occasional ‘head-on shoulder’ moment.At around 4:30 am, I kinda start to get a little sleepy and then we touch feet under the sheets, and she tells me my feet are really cold, and then she reaches for my hand and says the same thing.I don’t know what came over me, but I just didn’t feel like letting go, and just held on to her hand. I thought she’d yank her hand away eventually, but she did not and we just lay there rubbing our fingers together.(Her palms are really sweaty at this moment). I was actually really happy that she was reciprocating,and honestly, it gave me that warm and fuzzy feeling that I hadn’t experienced in a long time.We slowly start feeling each other’s palms. And then , all of a sudden, I had this huge rush of oxytocin and I clasped her hand so that our fingers interlocked and just held it there.Honestly, it was a really intimate moment, and I just felt at peace.We shift back to rubbing fingers and massaging palms soon after. In the process, we just stared at each other for a few moments.All this happened under the sheets btw. I really felt attached to her, and let me tell you, she’s the kind of person with whom I’d share anything without a second thought. Soon, it was 6 am and I had to leave .We had another casual hug at the porch, and I drove away after that. That evening, I texted her asking her to thank her mom for the food and the extra clothes. I also told her I didn’t mean to creep her out or anything, and then this is the exact text she sends me back-” M8 chill. It’s all good :)”. And then we proceed to have our usual conversations.For the past 2 days, I’ve been really attached to her and I keep rewinding back to those moments. I have college tomorrow and I’m gonna be seeing her again. I really don’t know how it’s gonna be.Maybe I’m making a big deal out of this, and I should probably not think about it too much. But I just feel a lot about her at this moment.
