I met him 13/14 years ago. I wanted to talk to someone and so I went into a random chat room, and he started a conversation. It was simple and natural and comfortable. We talked for several hours but suddenly lost the connection. I went back the next day hoping to talk to him again. He did the same. We talked all night, every night for a long time. We eventually fell in love at the tender ages of 14 and 16. We lived on opposite sides of the country, so meeting was not an option, and with a controlling mother like mine, even talking on the phone was impossible. Still, we continued our sweet romance. We felt like matching pieces of a puzzle. He asked me to be his girlfriend, I wanted to say yes, but said no out of fear. Afterall, he was cross country and I had still not met him. Eventually my fears came true. He stopped talking to me. It started with him being busy when I went online and eventually he ghosted me, before the term had even been created. Radio silence. I was heartbroken, I did not know what I had done wrong. I figured he had fallen for someone that was closer to him, and felt the pain of that everyday. It may not sound anything too important now, but when you are 13 and experiencing the pain for loosing your first love, it hits hard. Someone else was pursuing me, eventually, I got into another relationship.
