My BEST friend decided she didn’t want to be my friend anymore, she said it was because it felt like I only talked to her when my life is falling apart. I mean it had gotten to the point that if I was with her and our other friends I would be completely ignored and left out. And my ex-friend and I had been in a car wreck when she was taking me home, to me it felt like she blamed me for it. So I wanted to give her time to process what happened and only messaged her when major events were going on. Like my mom having cancer, my uncle od’ing and his death, my sister cheating on her wife and my sister in law moving back home. After I told her that my uncle had died she finally messaged me back, after two months of nothing from her, saying the thing about my life falling apart and how she had planned on just ghosting me but thought I deserved better. And saying she needed to work on herself, and maybe we can be friends again sometime later. I considered her to be my best friend for 7 years, and I know she didn’t consider me hers for a while, maybe the last 3 or 4 years, but not all 7. I had never actually dealt with heartbreak until then. I didn’t realize that your heart would actually hurt like that. Now I cry whenever I think about it, I cry even when remembering the good times too. For the first time in seven years she did not tell me happy birthday when my birthday was only 6 days ago. She unfriended me on Facebook and unfollowed me on Twitter. She was the closest friend I have ever had and now she isn’t my friend at all. I really miss her.
