If your parents are homophobic and unaccepting, it’s best to wait until you move out (I don’t know what your age is) then tell them.
If your parents are accepting, find the right time to tell them.
from another lesbian: you dont have to come out. i never do to many people, and i like the privacy. im out to many people but i never told my family and i dont intend to unless im in a serious relationship that i want them to know about. if this is causing you a lot of stress because you feel everyone has a right to know, please relax and put it on the back burned. if you WANT people to know – then maybe examine if your parents are people its safe to tell? try watching a tv show or movie with then that has lesbians in it, and say one of them is your favourite character. if that goes well maybe say you like their relationship, and can lead into saying youre a lesbian too?
