just realize why exactly do you feel the need to hide the truth. i do the same thing and i think it might be justified. we have our own lives, choose ways that our parents may not understand or not approve of, sometimes parents want to be too controlling. it’s the same as with not telling the truth to a child. it’s sometimes better this way. sometimes when i find a person is incapable of comprehending my reasoning and the truth might hurt them, i just choose to lie
