I always play dumb. I think that people all around me are fools except for a few (family etc.) I have an IQ of 145+ and there’s another boy in my classroom who is intelligent.I try to hang out with him but I can’t get out of my weird persona! If I get a moment to talk to him, I know my mask will fall off and it’ll all turn out to be A-OK.
I’ve been seen as the nerd of the classroom who gets straight A’s. When I tell people I don’t even glance at the book once, they think I’m boasting.

  • I have had the same experience, I have played dumb so much to avoid attention and arguments that I go into dumb mode automatically in situations where I don’t want to.

    • True! Attention always brings more and more people to criticise you. I’m better off alone doing my own thing. The thing is, I always feel the urge to control people, they always do such foolish things. I feel that one day I’m going to burst out and people will pull a 180 on me. It worries me.
