I can’t seem to do anything but make my mother cry amd disappoint my father. There’s something truly gut-wrenching about waking up in the AM to your mother weeping to your father about you as their daughter. It wasn’t about anything that negative, just her realizing that I hid in the closet more when I was younger to escape their fighting. It didn’t stunt my growth, it didn’t hurt me, so mother, why do you cry? I just want to hug her and tell her it’s okay, that I’ve forgiven them long ago. Please don’t cry anymore mama, I love you so much.
