I hate how normalised it is to discipline your pets through hitting or violence in the country I live in. I thought my father would be different, but I guess I was wrong. When I was younger I thought the method of hitting your dog was normal and it should done. And I followed the footsteps of how my father disciplined my dogs. Now that I’ve realised it’s wrong, looking at how my father disciplines dogs through such methods, it looks horrifying. I try to tell him to not hit the dogs by saying, “Would you hit me to discipline me?” But it’s not working. To be honest, I’ve always been afraid of my father. And the way he disciplines dogd just makes me more afraid of him. I can’t stand up to him. I blame myself for that. I can’t help the dogs because I’m a coward. I just wish that hitting your pets aren’t normalised anymore in this country. Just please. In the future or soon, I just hope it changes.
